Election of INSO as the AHAC BOD Member
The 5th AHAC General Assembly held on November 25, 2023 in Istanbul- Turkiye.
Dr. Ebrahimi, the General Director of Specialized Bureau of Int'l Affairs and Halal, who nominated as the candidate of I.R. of Iran, has been elected as one of the three AHAC BOD members. INSO is the sole authority of issuance of Halal certificates in Iran.
AHAC Program is dedicated to meet the needs of active organizations in Halal product and services such as food and cosmetics supply chain and their customers to access halal and safe products with participation of civil society organizations and all stakeholders. This program specifies the requirements for Certification Bodies.
Its activities increase the reputation of the Halal Certificate in the eyes of all interested parties all over the world, create the chain of trust and ensure the continuity of this structure by protecting it with internal control Mechanisms.AHAC Central Structure is authorized for accreditation.
It should be mentioned that AHAC members are from the member states of OIC/SMIIC.
